Summary:
Under the direction of the Diagnostic Imaging Manager performs a variety of technical radiographic procedures; applies prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Responsible for designated areas or procedures as required. All essential functions performed in this position reflect the age specific needs of the adult and geriatric patient and adapt their care to the physical psychosocial and cultural needs. Fosters patient and family centered care and radiologic services in accordance with the Lifespan and The Miriam Hospitals mission vision values with consideration of the life span including all developmental stages as well as cultural patterns.
Responsibilities:
Meets greets answers questions and provides an understandable explanation of Radiologic examinations to patients in order to reduce apprehension. Provides for safety and comfort of all patients in accordance with prescribed standards.
