Serving the City of Pointe-Claire and neighbouring cities, the Communication Centre receives and handles citizens’ calls regarding public security and public works. The Centre operates 24 hours a day, serves over 100,000 citizens, and receives nearly 45,000 calls every year.
Responsibilities and goals associated with the position
The incumbent enforces telecommunications standards and guidelines under her or his responsibility. They receive, record and transmit – by telephone, two-way radio, email or telewriter – complaints and requests originating from the City’s telephone switchboard, the public, and municipal employees, regarding the activities of departments, divisions and sections.
