A Registered Nurse (RN) in Psychiatry provides compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals experiencing mental health and behavioral disorders. They assess patients’ mental and physical health, administer medications and treatments, monitor progress, develop and implement care plans, and collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals. RN Psych nurses also provide crisis intervention, patient education, emotional support, and advocacy while ensuring a safe therapeutic environment that promotes recovery and overall well-being.
