Project-Based Launch Process Engineer

Overview

• Project-based with defined scope, timeline, and hours; hourly pay rate: $50.00
• Assist with process launch in machining environments focusing on crankshaft machining for automotive engines
• Focus: rotating equipment (CNC, grinders, spindle systems)
• Manage run-offs, validations, and production readiness

Responsibilities

• Lead machine runs off (cycle time, capability, quality)
• Execute Run Rate, validation, and pre-production builds
• Support install & debug of rotating machine tools
• Develop processes for crankshaft machining (turning, grinding)
• Set/optimize feeds, speeds, cycle times
• Experience with carbide machining inserts and able to propose alternatives to improve quality and/or throughput
