To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience: **Essential criteria** 1. Full GMC registration with valid license to practice and extensive experience of working in a clinical environment within a busy teaching hospital with expertise in paediatric inherited cardiovascular medicine
2. Internationally recognised research profile with a sustained record of outputs of international excellence and, where appropriate, world‑leading quality.
3. Outstanding track record of securing and leading substantial external research funding as Principal Investigator.
4. Extensive experience of delivering and leading high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate education.
5. Proven record of successful postgraduate research supervision as lead supervisor, with sustained evidence of completions and researcher development.
