The PO operates at the intersection of customer needs, business priorities, and team execution, bridging daily delivery decisions with the broader product vision defined by Product Management.
Responsibilities
- Act as the voice of the customer within the team, continuously exploring customer wants, needs, and preferences – whether customers are internal or external.
- Develop whole-product thinking by understanding the full desired customer experience, not just individual features.
- Apply design thinking and Lean UX practices to identify the right problems to solve and guide solution design.
- Know the stakeholders – balance the needs of customers with the expectations of Business Owners, Product Management, System Architects, and other teams.
- Engage regularly with Product Management to understand market forces, business drivers, and evolving priorities.
