AECOM EC is seeking a Principal – Security & Controls Technical Specialist to join our office in Bogotá, Colombia.

Responsibilities

• Design Electronic Security, Control and Automation Systems for large‑scale projects: develop and implement designs for CCTV, Access Control, Building Management System (BMS), SCADA, Perimeter Intrusion Systems, etc.; ensure designs prioritize reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
• Perform voltage drop calculations for low‑voltage wiring and plan for future growth to ensure scalability.
• Perform necessary calculations and simulations for each system.
• Select and specify equipment such as cameras, controllers, peripherals, gateways, recorders, power sources, servers, client stations, ensuring they meet operational requirements and safety standards.
• Create architecture diagrams, single‑line diagrams, and detail plans.
