Key Responsibilities Design and own Postgre SQL database architecture for high‑volume, high‑availability systems Develop and optimize complex SQL, PL/pg SQL, functions, triggers, and queries Perform advanced performance tuning, indexing, partitioning , and query optimization Implement and manage HA/DR solutions (replication, failover, backups, PITR) Lead database migrations (Oracle / My SQL / SQL Server → Postgre SQL) Ensure security, access control, compliance , and data governance Support cloud Postgre SQL platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) Provide technical guidance and mentorship to teams Mandatory Skills Postgre SQL internals, architecture, and performance tuning Advanced SQL & PL/pg SQL Replication, backup, restore & disaster recovery Linux/Unix environments Cloud‑managed Postgre SQL services
