A Postdoctoral Research Fellow position is available at the Department of Medical Biology, Faculty of Health Sciences, with the research group for Host-Microbe Interactions. The position is a fixed-term position for a duration of 3 years. The fellow will advance scientific career and further qualify for academic positions. The workplace is UiT in Tromsø. A core component of the project is international collaboration and at least six months abroad.
The project is part of an emerging area led by Prof. Christian Lentz. It combines chemical biology, molecular biology, bacterial physiology and infection biology. The focus is on how bacterial pathogens functionally adapt to their host and antibiotics, and on translating these insights into innovative approaches to prevent, treat and diagnose bacterial infections.
