Postdoctoral Research Fellow – Actively Driven Surfaces

We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to investigate the coupling of fluid flows with actively driven surfaces in two research projects funded by the Research Council of Norway. The projects focus on developing soft hairy surfaces for flow control and vibration‑based soft robots, advancing fundamental understanding, and inspiring new sustainable technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct theoretical, computational or experimental research on fluid–surface interactions and active materials.
• Develop new experimental setups for soft materials, robotics, and interfacial flows.
• Produce high‑quality scientific publications and present results at international conferences.
• Collaborate with an international, interdisciplinary research group and contribute to project deliverables.
