Details of Research Project: 

The postdoc will be involved in translational research projects that study host-pathogen interactions and host-vaccine responses in preclinical animal models. The research projects include work with guinea pigs, hamsters, mice and human primary cell cultures in BSL2/3/3+ facilities with SARS-CoV-2 and influenza virus. The aim of these studies is to find correlates of protection and understand host immune responses to viral infection and vaccination in different models. Special focus will be on immune profiling of mouse lungs in mice with skewed host immune responses upon respiratory infections.
