Job Description

Under the supervision and direction of a Plumbing Supervisor, Plumbers abate emergencies of routine and scheduled plumbing repairs. Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to the following:

1. Perform work relating to the installation, inspection, maintenance, repair & testing of standpipes and sprinklers.
2. Set, maintain and repair plumbing equipment and accessories and prepare the work location. Move heavy valves, piping fixtures. Cut, drill or prepare openings as may be necessary for the installation, maintenance or repair of fire safety, asset clean work area.
3. Any additional work related to fire safety and the good of the Authority.

NOTE: Due to the existence of a civil service list, candidates must have permanent civil service status in the title of Plumber to be considered.
