Piano/Organ Player Location: VA San Diego Healthcare System Chapel, 3350 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego, CA 92161 Key Responsibilities Provide piano and/or organ accompaniment for: Catholic Mass services (approx. 52 hours/year) Protestant Worship services (approx. 52 hours/year) Special worship services/events (approx. 6 hours/year) Coordinate musical selections with the Chaplain or designated worship leader.
Arrive at scheduled services on time and fully prepared.
Perform preludes, postludes, hymns, responses, and other liturgical musical pieces required for each service.
Attend rehearsals or run-throughs as needed to ensure smooth service execution.
Minimum Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in piano and organ performance.
Strong understanding of Catholic and/or Protestant liturgical music traditions.
Prior experience providing worship music in a chapel, church, or similar setting.
