Orthopedic Surgeon

The VA Sioux Falls Healthcare System is recruiting for (1) part-time Orthopedic Surgeon. The Orthopedic Surgeon functions as the General Surgeon/Physician aligned with the Surgery/Specialty Care Service in inpatient and outpatient settings at the Sioux Falls VA Medical Center. Duties include:

• Diagnose and treat all of the common orthopedic surgical conditions, including surgical and non-surgical treatment of diseases and injuries to the musculoskeletal system.
• Participate in call schedule after hours, and will need to possess the ability to respond promptly in emergent situations.
• Responsible for seeing patients in consultation in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Provide care of the Veterans' medical needs by performing examination, surgical consultation, and developing treatment and follow-up plans.
