SUMMARY:
Under the direction of a pharmacist assists in processing and compounding prescriptions and other drug orders. Pulls prescribed medication from shelf, enters medication charges into the computer, restocks pharmacy automation, and handles telephone inquiries. Able to perform proficienciesof Pharmacy Technician Level I.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assists pharmacists as directed, including filling orders and preparing labels.Prepares and makes deliveries to patient care areas and ancillary units.Replenishes medicine supply carts/automated dispensing devices; ensures that the pharmacy is stocked with essential drugs and pharmaceuticals.Compounds, labels, and packages pharmaceuticals.Counts, packages, and labels unit doses and fills routine orders for inspection by Pharmacists.Uses aseptic admixture technique in the horizontal or vertical laminar airflow hood as appropriate.Enters or retrieves data ...
