Pharmacist (Entry-Level)
Job Description
This role provides comprehensive pharmacy services in a long-term care setting, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely medication preparation and dispensing. The pharmacist reviews and verifies prescriptions, compounds sterile and non-sterile medications, and supports nursing facility staff and prescribers with expert medication therapy guidance. This position also offers a potential future opportunity to move into a Pharmacist-in-Charge role for candidates with management experience.
Responsibilities

+ Review prescriptions issued by physicians or other authorized prescribers to verify accuracy, appropriateness, and completeness.

+ Determine the correct formulas, ingredients, and dosage forms needed to prepare prescribed medications.

+ Compound sterile and non-sterile medications using standard formulas and processes, including accurate weighing, measuring, and mixing of ingredients.
