Personal Support Worker (PSW)

The PSW will provide personal care to assist clients in their daily activities and personal hygiene. The PSW will support the clients’ physical, social and emotional needs in a safe manner, in accordance with the organization’s resident-centred approach, complying with relevant government standards, residents’ rights and the organization’s mission and philosophy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Personal Support Worker course in Ontario, or equivalent.
• Experience in long-term care setting an asset.
• Current CPR Certificate.
• Registration with Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) preferred.
• Resident-centred care focus with strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative, problem-solve and manage time.
