About The Role

As a Payroll Specialist at Atoms, you will oversee and guarantee corporate compliance for payroll taxes across federal, state, and local jurisdictions, with a primary focus on the US market.

In this position, you will manage tax registrations in new jurisdictions, resolve tax notices, and audit payroll data to ensure strict adherence to changing statutory regulations. You will serve as the internal subject matter expert, ensuring that our multi‑state payroll operations run accurately and without compliance risks as the company scales.

What You’ll Do

• Design and execute payroll processes, including the calculation of gross/net pay, overtime, commissions, bonuses, and deferred compensation.
• Manage the full “hire‑to‑retire” lifecycle in Workday, handling everything from onboarding and offboarding to salary adjustments and leave of absence.
