Job Summary:

Transports patients throughout the Surgical Unit and assists with the preparation of patients for surgery. 

Essential Functions:

Washes and shaves operation sites.

Transports patients to and from the Operating Room.

Assists with Operating Room preparation.

Positions Patients in Operating Room

Minimum Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent. BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart Association certification.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Work experience in a hospital setting for at least 6 months, preferred. Must be able to communicate with patients and families and work in fast pace, stressful environment.

Working Conditions: Potentially exposed to infectious diseases.
