Vehicle Acquisition Specialist Job Description
Reports to: Used Car Manager

Compensation: $17 - 19 / hour


Job Summary

The Vehicle Acquisition Specialist position is responsible for locating, evaluating, and completing the purchase of pre-owned vehicles for resale. The Used Car Manager will provide ongoing professional development and training for this position.


Essential Function

+ Enter all vehicles into KBB and include photos and notes.

+ Understands vehicle condition and the subsequent costs involved in reconditioning.

+ Conducts test drive for any used car prior to buying and evaluates for dents, scratches, damage, mechanical issues, bad Carfax, etc.

+ Tracking data of purchases and understanding which vehicles have the quickest and longest sale turns, highest and lowest gross profit, and overall profitability. This data is key to growing and filling our needs in the used car department.
