The Supported Internship Lead is responsible for the delivery, coordination and quality assurance of a high‑quality Supported Internship programme for learners with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The role combines teaching delivery (2 days per week) with dedicated remission time (2 days per week) to lead work placement coordination, employer engagement and job‑coach practice.
The post holder will ensure learners are work‑ready, well supported in meaningful placements and progress into sustained paid employment wherever achievable, in line with the SEND Code of Practice, Preparing for Adulthood outcomes and Ofsted expectations.
