            Responsibilities Take-Offs:  Measuring surface areas (hull, ballast tanks, accommodation) from vessel blueprints or technical specifications to calculate total volume. 
Material Sourcing:  Estimating costs for marine-grade paints, abrasives (grit/garnet), and scaffolding. 
Quotation Preparation:  Compiling financial proposals and Bills of Quantities (BQ) for ship owners, contractors, or internal management. 
Contract Administration  and Subcontractor Management : Drafting, negotiating, and awarding contracts to blasting and painting subcontractors. 
Terms & Conditions:  Reviewing clauses regarding productivity targets, paint manufacturer requirements, and turnaround times (e.g., dry-dock limits). 
 Cost Control & Budgeting Progress Valuation:  Conducting site walks with the QA/QC or Marine Inspector to verify completed square footage.
