Overview
Works under the supervision of OR leadership in personal care of the patients during their surgical experience, to include, but not limited to positioning, assisting with advance surgical equipment function and use, assisting in the peri-anesthesia and peri-operative areas, and their environment (including those needing special precautions) and performs specified treatments. In addition, this position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served in assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and provide the care needed as described according to the departmental policy and procedure.
