SUMMARY
This position reports to the Custodial Supervisor/Manager and is responsible for the general cleanliness of the museum. Applicants must be available to work any assigned shifts and be able to work overtime.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Proper operation of custodial equipment including but not limited to:Floor machines, i.e. vacuums, scrubbersMops and mop bucketsFloor, wall, window squeegeesLadders, step stools, scissor lift, fork lift Basic understanding of safety issues and adherence to safety standards related to custodial workSafety equipment for personal safetyBuilding occupant safetyPublic safetyClean and maintain all custodial stations: classrooms, office space, restrooms, entrance ways, work spaces, parking lots and food service areasCollecting trash/recycling/compost and disposing in proper receptaclesDusting, high, intermediate and low areasSweeping, dust mopping, dry mopping, damp mopping, vacuumingShampooing, scrubbing, s...
