Occupational Therapy Technician

Position within the new North West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre at Central Middlesex Hospital, providing specialist occupational therapy support to patients undergoing routine bone and joint surgery.

Main duties of the job

• Assess patients preoperatively and postoperatively, and actively participate in discharge planning.
• Lead the preparation, coordination, and execution of the Joint School.
• Promote patient function and independence in occupational performance areas to facilitate safe discharges.
• Perform a mix of patient‑facing and non‑patient‑facing clinical tasks.
• Cover and support staff absences or service needs in other areas as required.
• Receive formal supervision from a Senior OT and participate in in‑service training and team meetings.
