Summary The Nursing Assistant - Medical Surgical Unit position provides patient care within the ICU, Telemetry, and Medical/Surgical Unit at the Central Iowa VA Medical Center in Des Moines. This position performs activities of daily living and provides a range of care that contributes to the Veteran's treatment plan, recovery, and wellness under the direction of a licensed health care provider. Responsibilities Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Duties include, but not limited to: Manages patient behavior and appropriately intervenes as needed. Participates in treatment team meetings for resident care planning. Monitors and documents patient intake and output, reports any deviations.
