Reports To: MRI Supervisor

Position Objective: The MRI Technician interprets doctor's requisition requests and completes the study as efficiently and quickly as possible for patient comfort and ease during the MRI process.

Detailed Responsibilities:

" Escort patient back to the changing rooms, give gown or shorts as necessary and verify that all metal has been removed (i.e. body piercing, clothing with metal, etc.)

" Question the patient as to any metal in the body, pacemakers, stents, cochlear implants and eye clear of metal.

" Set MRI machine with proper coils for the body part to be scanned.

" Make sure the patient is comfortable, offer blanket, place call button in patient's hand so that they are able to call immediately if they are not feeling well, claustrophobic, etc. Give...
