**Job Title: Mold Operator**
**Job Description**
Safely and efficiently pour molten aluminum into molds in accordance with established quality criteria and guidelines to ensure the integrity of the castings produced.

**Responsibilities**

+ Pour molten aluminum into permanent molds.
+ Operate tilt mold machine and apply coating.
+ Install pour cups on molds prior to pouring metal.
+ Coordinate with melting personnel to assure supply of molten metal prior to pouring.
+ Run a band saw to cut gating on castings.
+ Assist in the training of co-workers.
+ Maintain a good attendance record.
+ Keep the work area clean.
+ Inspect castings for visual non-conformities and alert appropriate personnel.
+ Maintain detailed production and downtime reports.

**Essential Skills**

+ Experience in machine operating, production, foundry, mold making, and casting.
