Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, is seeking a per diem Mental Health Specialist IV in the Acute Psychiatric Services of Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care.

The primary purpose of the per diem Mental Health Specialist IV is to provide services which support the delivery of clinical services in the Unit. 

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

Provides telephone coverage for the unit.

Documents all telephone calls in the Acute Psychiatric Services (APS) telephone log or Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

Maintains confidentiality of information in accordance with Rutgers UBHC policy, University policy, Joint Commission standards and the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) requirements.

Refers consumer calls to a clinician as directed by the Program Coordinator.
