Responsibilities

• Receive and process laboratory specimens, assigning charge codes and rejecting unacceptable samples. Assist pathologists in trimming and evaluating specimens. Execute various technical functions, including processing, embedding, microtomy, and performing routine and complex staining. Prepare and label slides and ensure block checks are performed accurately. Conduct gross examination of simple and uncomplicated specimens. Perform frozen cryo-sectioning as needed.
