The Department of Dermatology at Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University is seeking an outstanding Medical Assistant to join the team.
The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting physicians and non-physician providers (NPP) with patient care to include triage, charting, procedures, ordering and stocking of dermatology supplies.
Responsibilities
Triage all incoming patients by taking vital signs such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, reconciling medications, reconciling allergies, updating pharmacy, and all other pertinent Meaningful Use objectives (smoking status, race, ethnicity, language), and accurately recording in electronic health record.Scan upcoming appointments for additional medical record information necessary.
