Morson are looking to recruit Mechanical fitters to join the team for our client in Barrow. These contracts are initially 12 months with a strong likelihood of extension.
Installation of mechanical systems, components and equipment on vessels. Must be a time served Mechanical Fitter with an apprenticeship certificate. Experience of submarine/shipbuilding construction would be an advantage.
Work safely at all times, complying with Health and Safety and other relevant regulations and guidelines. Follow the relevant instructions, drawings and any other Quality Standards/specifications. Use the appropriate methods and techniques to manufacture and install mechanical systems and ancillary equipment. Check the completed activity to ensure that all operations have been completed to meet the required Quality Standards/specification. Use associated tools and equipment safely and effectively.
