Bringing together applied science and industry, Silicon Austria Labs (SAL) conducts cutting-edge research in Sensor Systems, Microsystems, Intelligent Wireless Systems, Power Electronics, and Embedded Systems. As part of our Photonic Systems research unit, the Applied Quantum Sensing Team is looking for a motivated Masters student for an exciting Master Thesis focusing on quantum magnetometry.

Your future tasks include:

  • Experimental work in the Applied Quantum Sensing team
  • Design, assemble and test novel quantum magnetometers based on solid-state spins in wide-band gap semiconductors 
  • Develop novel quantum control protocols
  • Implement software and hardware solutions
