POSITION: The Maintenance Worker can be a self-starter or work as a team player. He/she is responsible for quality maintenance and some custodial duties at agency buildings and vehicles. This person will be able to work alone and be able to pace himself/herself to get job duties done in a timely manner. Must be able to trouble shoot and ascertain importance of emergency situations versus everyday work needing done. Reports directly to Maintenance Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS: A semi-skilled person who can maintain a group of buildings by performing minor electrical, mechanical or plumbing duties. Minimum experience of two years in general maintenance work which has involved at least two of the building, electrical or mechanical trades. (Acceptable trades include Carpenter, Mason, Plasterer, Painter, Plumber, Steamfitter, Roofer, Welder, Electrician (buildings), Mechanic (machinist, plant operator). Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
