Maintenance Operative

An exciting opportunity has become available to work within the Parks & Grounds service as a Maintenance Operative. The positions are for 2 FTE roles (37 hours per week), working across the borough to support the inspection, maintenance, repair and cleansing of bus stops, shelters and public spaces.

About You

You will undertake the inspection, maintenance, repair and cleansing of bus stops and shelters across the borough, helping to ensure that public assets are safe, clean and accessible for residents and visitors. This will include identifying and reporting defects, carrying out minor repairs and maintaining high standards of cleanliness across all locations.

You will carry out a range of practical maintenance and grounds duties, including litter picking, graffiti removal, grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming and weed control, supporting the delivery of a high-quality public realm.
