**Description**
Summary:
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting or repairing systems within the hospital (i.e., electrical, plumbing, painting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, oxygen, medical gases) and for general repair of all types of equipment. The Maintenance Mechanic should have special knowledge and training in the care, repair and operating of specialized equipment such as x-ray processors, emergency generators, air compressors, diesel engines, boilers, and chill systems. Also, will assist with fixture repair and other facilities tasks related to general repair and upkeep of the hospital.
Responsibilities:
1. Assists plumbers, electricians, locksmiths and other teammates with major repairs, equipment replacement and other facilities tasks.
2. Performs basic repair and preventative maintenance tasks on equipment, fixtures and furniture.
3. Performs preventative maintenance on fire doors.
