We provide a comprehensive clinical and laboratory haematology service to BCSH level 2a, with in‑patient beds shared with the Integrated Care team. The modern Blood Sciences laboratory is ISO15189 UKAS accredited. The post holder is expected to deliver clinical care, participate in on‑call rotations, conduct clinics at Royal Blackburn and Burnley General Hospital, and contribute to teaching and research within the Trust.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and clinical help across the hospital and community, including on‑call duty.
• Lead and conduct haematology clinics at both Royal Blackburn site and Burnley General Hospital.
• Participate in Core Medical Trainee and undergraduate teaching.
• Engage in audit and research activities to support evidence‑based practice.
