About Welkeys

Since 2015, Welkeys has been helping property owners fully manage their assets (apartments, villas, and chalets) through short- and mid-term rental solutions.

Already established in 30 destinations across France (1,500 properties under management and distribution), we are now launching our operations in Portugal (Lisbon, Cascais, and the Algarve) with a clear ambition: to build a leading premium short-term rental brand in Europe.

Mission

As part of our launch in Lisbon, we are looking for a Freelance Partner / City Manager to lead Welkeys’ local development in Portugal.

You will act as Welkeys’ operational and commercial anchor in the Lisbon and Cascais area.

This is a hybrid role combining business development and on-the-ground operations management .

Your Responsibilities

1. Business Development

• Identify and sign new property owners (France & international)
• Build a strong network of local referral partners (real estate agents, property hunters, tax advisors, etc.)
• Represent Welkeys with local real estate stakeholders and key partners

2. Operations

• Oversee the quality of managed properties
• Coordinate local teams (cleaning, maintenance, check-ins)
• Ensure an outstanding guest and owner experience

3. Market Launch

• Actively contribute to structuring Welkeys’ offering in Portugal
• Provide market insights (pricing, regulation, competition)
• Help define and shape the local strategy

Candidate Profile

We are primarily looking for an entrepreneurial and highly autonomous profile , not a traditional employee.

• Based in Lisbon or Cascais
• Strong knowledge of the local real estate or hospitality market
• Native Portuguese + fluent French and/or English
• Strong autonomy and hands-on mindset
• Experience in property management, hospitality, or short-term rentals
• Existing local network (agents, property owners, service providers)
• Experience in a startup or fast-growing environment
• French language is a plus
