Perform tasks involving physical labor at building and heavy construction projects to clean and prepare job sites as required to assist other craft workers such as carpenters and concrete finishers.

**Essential Functions:**

+ Remove forms from walls and columns
+ Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
+ Control traffic passing near, in, and around work zones
+ Smooth freshly poured concrete or concrete, using shovel, come-along, or powered vibrator
+ Dig compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, and rakes
+ Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications
+ Mop, brush, or spread paints, cleaning solutions or other compounds over surfaces to clean them or to provide protection
