The Signal and Information Processing for Sensing Systems Group is seeking a Junior Data Scientist to support the analysis, management, and modelling of health‑related chemical instrumentation and clinical data. The role combines machine learning, statistical data analysis, scientific programming, and research software maintenance within biomedical and metabolomics‑oriented projects.
Responsibilities
- Development and validation of machine learning algorithms for health‑related experimental data.
- Improvement of data analysis workflows for metabolomics, chemical sensing, and instrumental data.
- Programming primarily in R, with possible use of Python and MATLAB.
- Development and maintenance of R packages and reusable analysis pipelines.
