This position is suitable for candidates who may wish to pursue a career in Gastroenterology, and who might wish to sample the specialty or to gain experience in order to strengthen their application to a Core Training rotation. Alternatively, they might suit candidates who wish to pursue a complementary specialty in which gastroenterology and general internal medicine experience is required. Previous experience in the speciality is not required.
These positions will be treated in the same manner as our ST1 positions.
The post provides broad exposure to acute and chronic gastrointestinal disease within a busy District General Hospital (DGH) environment.
The post holder will work alongside and in conjunction with the other Residents in Gastroenterology to provide predominantly inpatient and outpatient care to gastroenterology, hepatology and general medical patients.
