Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a highly motivated Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer experienced in tailings dam design for tailings management projects across Canada and elsewhere. This role emphasizes technical aptitude and project execution, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with regulatory standards in tailings management. This position may be based in any of AECOM's Canadian offices.
ResponsibilitiesTechnical LeadershipInvolved in the design, analysis, and construction oversight of tailings dams, embankments, and associated infrastructure.
Conduct geotechnical analyses, including slope stability, seepage, liquefaction, and settlement evaluations.
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for tailings facilities, addressing challenges such as seepage, slope stability, liquefaction, and water management.
Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and specifications to ensure high-quality deliverables.
