Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Conducting trade mark clearance searches
• Managing the prosecution of trade mark applications
• Handling trade mark assignments, renewals, and amendments
• Assisting with trade mark and copyright enforcement matters
• Managing trade mark opposition proceedings before relevant registries and courts
• Drafting and advising on commercial IP agreements, including licence and co-existence agreements
• Managing company name disputes
• Handling domain name disputes and related administration
• Conducting legal research and preparing opinions on intellectual property matters
• Advising on intellectual property matters in both South Africa and foreign jurisdictions

Minimum Requirements
