Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with ESA, OHRC, and HR policies
  • Maintain employee records and update HR/payroll systems
  • Liaise with Payroll regarding compensation, absences, and vacation tracking
  • Coordinate full-cycle recruitment and onboarding activities
  • Support employee orientation and HR administration
  • Assist managers with HR-related projects and administrative tasks
  • Maintain accurate HR databases, files, and training records

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of HR Generalist or HR Specialist experience, preferably in a unionized environment
  • Strong knowledge of ESA, OHRC, and employment legislation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with payroll systems; JD Edwards considered an asset
  • CHRP or CHRL designation is an asset
