Housing Adaptations Officer

An exciting opportunity has become available to work within the Housing team to deliver our Care & Repair service, supporting disabled people to modify their homes so they can live independently. The position is for 1.0 FTE (37 hours) per week, Monday to Friday. This is a fixed term post up to 31 March 2028. 

About you

You will bring your domestic construction knowledge and experience to make a difference to the lives of disabled people. You will work closely with occupational therapists, caseworkers, social workers, contractors and residents to design adaptations and resolve home repairs problems. You will act as an agent to the resident, procuring designs and specifications, submitting planning and building regulation applications, evaluating tenders, and overseeing building works on site through to final payment stage.
