TeamHealth has an excellent opportunity for a full-time, internal medicine trained nocturnist physician to join our stable and established hospital medicine program at Hendrick Medical Center South in Abilene, Texas. Hendrick Medical Center is a 231-bed hospital with an open 20-bed ICU. Enjoy a block schedule of 7 days on, 7 days off with a staffing model of a 3 day-shift physicians, 1 day-shift APC, and 1 nocturnist physician.
Our daytime clinicians see an average census of 15-20 per day to include 1-2 admissions, while the APC will handle 4-6 admissions. During the nocturnist shift, you will see between 6-10 admissions on average. Hospitalists do run codes and handle rapid response, as they are the primary admitters for the ICU, so you will also round on patients here as needed.
