The Horticulture Technician is responsible for maintaining the appearance and upkeep of West Edmonton Mall’s live and artificial plant life and their surroundings.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensuring all plant life is healthy and the appearance is maintained by daily watering and removing of dead material.
• Determining the environmental conditions and care required to maintain selected plants and determining the most appropriate watering and care times.
• Maintaining soil quality by using basic cultivating techniques and removing debris from planting areas.
• Moving, planting, and replanting live and artificial plant life to best suit the aesthetic and functional needs of the mall as well as ensuring live plant life has adequate resources to grow.
• Providing maintenance of plant life by washing planters, dusting leaves, washing trees, and vacuuming artificial plant life.
