The University of Alabama Birmingham, Heersink School of Medicine, Department of Surgery is currently recruiting faculty candidates to be considered for a tenure track or non-tenure track faculty appointment in the Division of Surgical Oncology. This individual will be a fellowship-trained surgical oncologist with a clinic focus in the treatment of skin and soft tissue malignancies including melanoma and sarcoma. The Division of Surgical Oncology is committed to providing personalized, comprehensive care for patients with a broad array of benign and malignant tumors. We work in collaboration with members from other divisions in the Department of Surgery, along with the Department of Radiation Oncology, Division of Hematology/Oncology, the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the Department of Genetics and the Department of Dermatology to provide high-quality, innovative, and comprehensive multidisciplinary cancer care.
