Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opportunity for a Health and Safety Specialist at our Tilden Mine site. This position provides safety service and support to the mine personnel and is responsible for maintaining and improving employee and company security.


Summary of Responsibilities:

+ Ensures that a safety-focused work environment is maintained.

+ Directs and coordinates the development of continuous improvement plans to improve safety throughout the company through teambuilding, communication, personal coaching, vision-setting exercises and training sessions.

+ Responsible for correspondence between Cliffs Michigan Operations and MSHA, as well as any other governmental safety agencies (i.e. state mine inspector).

+ Assist in the site’s emergency response program and emergency response teams.
