DIRECT HIRE

WAGE: $22-$27/HOUR

LOCATION: MUSCODA, WI

Responsibilities

+ Run headsaw using Lewis Controls; adjust patterns, thickness, and sequence based on log shape, defects, and species.
+ Maintain proper cutting: tracking, tension, feed speed, and log presentation (dogging, squaring, rotation).
+ Make cutting decisions to maximize value recovery—not just production speed.
+ Monitor saw performance (sound, vibration, cut quality) and respond quickly.
+ Coordinate with foreman and crew to maintain steady production flow.
+ Help train and support crew in the headsaw area.
+ Assist with saw changes, basic maintenance, and keep equipment and work area clean, safe, and in working condition.
